All of our medicals are carried out to guarantee that an individual is fit to work in an onshore and offshore, Wind Turbine and Oil facility production environment, and enable travel to a foreign country with the promotion of general good health.
Whilst carrying out the complete range of statutory medicals, Glasgow Occupational Health can also produce personalised medicals. We deliver the medical findings and results quickly and accurately, this is a fundamental part of our service. We provide industry recommended wind turbine medicals for the renewable energy sector, also known as RUK medicals. The RUK medical has been developed in order to reflect the specific risks that are particular to the renewable energy sector.
OGUK Medicals
OGUK Clinic in Glasgow. We offer competitively priced Oil and Gas UK (OGUK). The OGUK Offshore Medical is valid for two years and allows you to work in the UK sector / North Sea and the Norwegian sector
ERT Medicals
Members of Emergency Response Teams (ERT) require a level of fitness which is assessed by an initial ERT Medical Examination. The initial ERT Medical is similar to the OGUK Offshore Medical with the addition of an ERT Health Review, Spirometry (lung function test) and a Fitness Test (Chester Step). An annual review including Spirometry and a Fitness Test is required.
Working at Heights/Confined Space Medicals
People whose employment entails working in confined spaces, require a Medical to check their fitness for the specific work. Our Working at Heights/Confined Space Medical, involves Spirometry (lung function test), Audiogram (hearing test) and a consultation with a doctor.
Climber Medicals
People whose work entails climbing at height, such as Rope Access Technicians, may require a Medical to check their fitness for the specific work duty. Glasgow Occupational Health Climbers Medical, involves screening, a grip strength test, a fitness test (Chester Step), and a consultation with a doctor.
Overseas Medicals for specific countries, such as Oman or Saudi Arabia
Glasgow Occupational Health can provide Medical Assessments for entry to work within particular countries. These Medicals vary according to the country required but can involve screening, completing a medical questionnaire, drug screening, and blood screening.
